Halloween PARTY

Oh my word did we have a great Halloween! All the neighbors with little ones came over and we had a great time!

Here is the invite to get things started...

We had a ton of fun party crafts... making tissue paper candy corns, decorating wooden pumpkin figures, making white felt ghosts with the kids hand print, and decorating pumpkins with foam stickers... I always like to put together crafts for these kiddo parties for something fun for them to do and take home... this time most of the kids just wanted to eat and then TRICK OR TREAT! :) Here are a few pics of the crafts...

and what party is complete without food!? Well... by the time I got my camera out this one had hardly any food left!... here are a few pics of the leftovers and the yummy desserts.
I served Chili with all the fixings...fritos, sour cream, cheddar. A new spinach dip recipe with crostinis, and carrot sticks. A couple friends brought over a great Stromboli and cheeses and crackers. It was great!
Here is the dessert bar... I always remember how to spell that word because it has more 's' because you always want more dessert! :) That is just what I did here... MORE!
I made a homemade apple pie and pumpkin bread. Gabby and I made chocolate marshmallow ghosts, and I ordered my absolute favorite sugar cookie from Claytons bakery. It was a great spread!

Here are the ghosts all done! Gabby loved sorting through the sprinkles to find the right colors and shapes.

Here is Derek cutting the warm apple pie... it was so yummy
Then it was time for trick or treating! The kids had so much fun... by the end of the night the three biggest were putting their glow sticks together and shouting "GO TEAM CANDY!" It was hilarious... I wish I had a video of it!

I didn't do a great job of taking pics... I was having too much fun! There were 8 kiddos total.

Their favors were glow wands and personalized trick or treat bags. The bags turned out so cute and of course I didn't get a good picture. MAN! They were black with orange, funky writing. You can kind of see it in Gabbys hand up above.
As they got tired... they got piggyback rides. FUN!
I love this picture!... the guy passing out candy is our new neighbor who just happens to be my childhood best buddy! HAHA... there a many pictures of us all dressed up in our Halloween outfits trick or treating together. We hadn't seen each other in like 20 years... isn't that amazing!
This little sweetie pie had never had juice before... well she LOVED it!
Then the next day the girls had a ton of loot to sort through... They thought it was fabulous!
and we are still siphoning candy in our household! :)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Now... for Thanksgiving... I am hosting... hmmm any recipe and craft suggestions?
