GABBY IS 4!!!

SHEEESH! I have been majorly missing... SORRY BLOG WORLD... this is a CRAZY time of year! But... in the midst of all the craziness we are having FUN! Gabby turned 4 last week and we had a little build a dino birthday party for her at the Science Center... it was precious! and most importantly Gabby girl has so much fun!

Gabby invited her best friends...the first time I have ever let her pick who comes! (saying to myself...not a mommy party, not a mommy party!) and the girls made the invitations. They turned out great and of course I didn't get a picture....they painted rectangles with teal and purple poster paint and then I printed all the info on frosted vellum. After I attached the vellum on top of the card stock, I cut out a cracking dino egg made of textured purple polka dot paper. They were cute and very 'Gabby' if you know what I mean (I would NEVER do a purple party...nothing against the color but I am a pink and green kind of girl! :) ).

First everyone had prehistoric pizza and punch...
Then it was cake time... Gabby felt so special surrounded by her buddies!
The cake was amazing... a local bakery did it(McCarthurs) and I added the dinosaurs.
I can't believe my sweet little baby is FOUR!!! She meticulously blew out each candle...one...at...a...time. OF COURSE!
Then it was on to building a dinosaur!
They marched all the kids around the store singing and cheering...then picked out their special friends and stuffed them...
and washed them... (here is Emmy's green triceratops named "Rosie")
and Gabby's dino named "Sparkle"
I made Gabby a special shirt for the party...didn't get a good picture but I do have some more...it was a purple polka dot dino holding a teal cupcake with 4 candles. CUTE! and she loved it (the important part!)

All the kids loved their special little guys and it was so low key and easy! I love doing all the details for parties but this was a keeper of an idea...let me tell you!
Gabby had a blast!
and her little friends did too! I love that my sweet girl is growing up and starting to develop friends! Happy Birthday big girl! Your mommy and daddy love you more than words can express!!
