Nutcracker at the Fox...

A few weekends ago we celebrated Christmas with my sister and mom and dad...it was a fabulous weekend full of festivities, great food, laughter, fires, and fun! One of the fun things we did was enjoy The Nutcracker Ballet at the Fox. It was amazing and fabulous! We hope to make this an annual tradition...

Here is a pic of Mary and Gabby (in their red coats) with the Fox sign all aglow... (you can just see the tops of Gabbys curls)

My silly Gabby and I in the Lobby of the Fox...what a stunning venue! We love this place!
Hope your Christmas Traditions are up and running!

Christmas Programs Part 1

Gabby and Emmy had their Christmas Programs at school last week...they were precious! A bunch of two year olds singing jingle bells is my new favorite thing (top that Oprah!).

My mom and dad came along to show the girls some support and they were so excited to see them there...when we got to Emmy's school all the kiddos were outside playing...

Then we all went inside for a sing-along and cookies! All the kids were just too cute for words!
I love this sweet little girl! :)
Then we went over to Gabby's school for some more Christmas celebration!... She did a great job!... all by herself, on stage, singing and motioning. It was so precious!

At the end they blew us all...Christmas kisses!...gotta LOVE her! :)
Now Gabby's other school has its' program today...so more pictures are coming!

Breakfast with Santa

Every year my high school puts on a Breakfast with Santa for alumni and current little ones in the Montessori...we try to make it every year but haven't been in a few. This year was amazing as always! They have so many great crafts, snacks, and of course SANTA! The girls had so much fun! Here are a few shots of the action...

Enjoying some snacks before Santa arrives...
Our little family with Santa!! Gabby loved him and Ems not so much! :)
All Emmy wants for Christmas this year is Candy Canes... she was so excited!
With Grandma and Grandpa

Doing some crafts...

Emmy had never seen a pink Christmas tree...guess that is what you should expect at an all girls school!
I hope one day these two girls will run down this hallway with backpacks on, chasing fellow Vivettes!

Oh the infamous mural...it...is...still...there... :) Gabby went right to it and said look mom it's YOU! :) wonder if she would recognize Tara!? :)
Emmy learning early on that you should always hide from nuns! HAHA! JUST KIDDING! (although that nun in grade school who pinched our earlobes...I was scared of her!)

Peek-A-BOO!
Then they had an all out game of hide and seak with the sweet sister!

Emmy did a wonderful job on her Angel necklace...I couldn't believe it!
and the entire morning was capped off with a beautiful caroling session with Santa...the girls were enthralled...
Thanks Viz for a fabulous event for the kids!

Ummm...you know those moments

when you are so proud of your child...yeah those...we had one the other night...

Gabbys amazing CI (Cochlear Implant) surgeon asked her to help him with a presentation about Cochlear Implants to 80 college students at Washington University (Wash U for all you STL peeps).

ummm...she got up there (@ 8:30 on a school night which usually has a bedtime of 7:30)...sat on the desk(let Dr. Chole PICK HER UP!)...got miked up (and let Dr. Chole TOUCH HER!)...AND proceeded to answer all of the doctors questions remarkably well... COLOR ME SHOCKED! She told the class about her Thanksgiving..."I rather like Mashed Potatoes" HA! etc and about her birthday and her sister...

This is the same girlie who wont talk to strangers one on one...and not scary strangers... my clients!

It was awesome and we couldn't have been more proud...she has come so far and her speech and language is amazing...

Hope this is the first of many speaking engagements sweet Gabby girl!

you can have fun WITH your hands on your hips! JEESH EM...multi-task!

thumb in mouth and loud and proud sister shows up! I love how Emmy is making the hang loose sign! Who taught her that!?

Gabby... IN FRONT of the bow not the bow in front of you!

find any treasures up there sweet Em?

either both sit back or both sit up... this whole 3D thing is just for movies...doesn't work with film! :)
