Emmys Bubble Birthday!

What a great party!!!

Our sweet little Emmy had so much fun with her bubble birthday!

This is the invitation that I made for the party...it was three 'bubbles' stacked on top of each other and tied with a bubble wand. I used the 'bubble font' for the invites and continued the theme with embroidered items in the same font.

We have a fabulous prayer request list with Dereks side of the family and one of mine for this month was for the weather... we had ALOT (like 27+) of little ones coming and all of the activities were for outside. Yes... weather was a HUGE factor and as I have no control over that...I just PRAYED... HARD!! And, what do you know! The weather was not only PERFECT (sunny, 76 degrees) it was also sandwiched between lots of nasty weather on each side... UMMM Thanks GOD! :)

So here is the party...

The front door had bubbles to set the theme and everyone loved them!

I love this tradition that I started last year at her first party... it is a photo tree that hangs. My mother in law gave it to us years ago and I just love it! All the pictures are of my sweet little two year old!

and here she is! I made her this bubble dress for the party and she thought it was great! This is what she did the whole party... just run and play and run! She loved all the bubbles... she kept putting her face right up in front of the bubble machines. We joked that we wouldn't need soap in her next bath because she was covered in it!

Here is the food table... everything was round to stick with the bubble theme... 'bubble' ham sandwiches, fruit 'bubbles', cheese and cracker 'bubbles', pretzel 'bubbles', and Daily Bread sandwiches and chips and salsa for the adults. I thought the table looked great!

All the drinks were in tubs that of course coordinated with the color scheme!

The 'cake' table had 'bubble' cookies (Claytons Bakery did a great job!), 'bubble' cupcakes, and donut 'bubbles'

Emmy loved the bubble machines! She kept putting her face right in front of the bubbles and let them pop in her face.

All the kiddos LOVED the bubble guns but I love how this one shows the boys having fun! So typical! :)

A close-up of the dress for my sweet baby.

Gabby helped me make the signs for the different stations... she did such a great job! This station was called "bubble face" and the kids loved peeling the felt shapes and putting them on the bubble wrap. Also, the girls and I painted all the clothes pins with paint colors from the party. It was a fun rainy day activity!

My sister in law, Tara, let me borrow these amazing lanterns! I LOVE THEM! I thought they made the corner look magical and very appropriate for the bubble theme. This station was called Bubble Foam...

I also had various bubble blowing activities scattered throughout the yard... it was cute catching kiddos in the act of discovering different bubble activities.

I had one more station... bubble painting. I set up the easel with 6 different colors of bubble paint for the kiddos to blow onto paper and take home. I can't believe I didn't get a picture! Hopefully someone else did! :)

Here is the birthday girl about to blow out her candles! She loved singing happy birthday!

Cupcake time!

and these were the favors all the littles went home with...I made labels for the bubbles that said...'thanks for popping by! love Emmy'. I also found candy dots and coordinated color m&m's.

It was a great party for such a sweet little girl! I am so glad everything went so well and love planning all these fun details.
Now on to Halloween fun!..
